Funding of Diploma in Basic Rural Technology near Coimbatore

CAMS was looking to support a reliable, deserving organisation through its CSR funds in 2019-2020. The organisation required that the NGO have a proven track record and be able to provide follow-up on the usage of funds donated to them. AuxoHub reviewed multiple organisations to identify one which matched CAMS’ focus areas and interest.

Bhuvana Foundation was identified as a suitable organisation following multiple rounds of checks, document validation, and selection of a project proposal. Their flagship project, Vidya Vanam, is a school focused on serving the needs of the underprivileged and tribal communities near Coimbatore. They initiated a new diploma course in Basic Rural Technology which seeks to develop specialized skills and entrepreneurial attitudes amongst high school students. The program is a two-year course. CAMS chose to support the implementation of this course for one year. AuxoHub conducted monitoring activities of the funds disbursed, involving monthly review of bills and receipts, review of project design and impact, and undertaking field visits regualrly.
